How about this for a salacious detail?

An "individual allegedly passed out business cards for her sex toy business at work, bragging that her income from that business exceeded her salary at the Interior Department."

"The reports also said former head of the Denver royalty-in-kind office, Gregory W. Smith, used cocaine and had sex with subordinates. The report said Smith also steered government contracts to a consulting business that paid him $30,000 for his work from April 2002 through June 2003. Smith retired from the office in May 2007."

And, Martha Zoeller says the government isn't allowing enough drilling on federal property.

Well, you could just insert the name of any conservative for Martha Zoeller, including Sarah Palin.

The findings are the latest sign of trouble at the Minerals Management Service, which already has been accused of mismanaging the collection of fees from oil companies and writing faulty contracts for drilling on government land and offshore. The charges also come as Congress and both presidential candidates are debating whether to open up more federal offshore waters to oil and natural gas drilling.

"This all shows the oil industry holds shocking sway over the administration and even key federal employees," said Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla. "This is why we must not allow Big Oil's agenda to be jammed through Congress."

Who wants to run the government like a corporation? Raise your hands.

We shouldn't blame the government for the temptations offered by the Devil. Blame the Devil that staged the parties, brought the cocaine, and passed out the cash.

Our society will punish the government but not the Corporate Devils.

Hall County Republican Party collapses

Honesty is a very important value in our homes and families. The lack of honesty during the recent Republican control of Congress and the Bush Presidency has done more harm to our local communities than our foreign enemies.

The Hall County Republican Party brags that all the elected “officials in Hall County (that elected by party) are Republican.” That isn’t true and hasn’t been true ever. County Commissioners must designate a party affiliation and qualify by party affiliation. Debra Mack, a Democrat, has held office as a County Commissioner since 2002.

If the Hall County Republicans can’t see Debra Mack at the monthly County Commission meetings, how can they possibly find Weapons of Mass Destruction, al Qaida, or a solution to any of the complex problems threatening our security?

What other lies are on the Republican Website?

The Hall County Republican Party "is larger than even Gwinnett County GOP." I guess size does matter, but is the Hall County Republican Party even as large as the Hall County Democratic Party?

The Hall County Republicans have only one person listed as a “District Chair.” The Hall County Democrat’s webpage’s list three party committee members for each of the county’s four districts and five at large representatives. Those seventeen Democrats are not elected government officials but Democrats elected to represent other Democrats with local and state party issues.

Why can’t the Hall County Republicans find one person to help the county party membership in each district? Could it be that after a few years of George Bush, Nathan Deal, and Saxby Chambliss, even the local Republican party has become top heavy, indifferent, and out of touch with the average person?

The Hall County Republican Party and the National GOP are just like Bush and Cheney, McCain and Palin.

Sarah Palin will be simultaneously demonstrating the GOP's comittment to the sanctity of marriage and gun rights by hosting a nationally televised shot gun wedding for her pregnant daughter and the father of the baby.

The GOP's second choice for President

A pretty face with no experience with international affairs unless treaties with native Alaskans count as international.

She's more like a 'mayor' of 670,000 people than the governor of a state. Gwinnett County has over 700,000 people, Cobb County has over 690,000 people, Dekalb county has over 730,000 people, and Hall County has over 340,000 people.

Her 'city' has little or no personal taxes. It's very easy to govern with a budget made entirely of crude oil and natural gas royalties. Alaska gets so much in oil royalties that Palin cranks out millions of dollars in a special welfare check to each citizen, each year. She is seeking to hand out another $1,200 per person this year just to offset higher gasoline prices.

In her second year as Alaska's 'Mayor,' Palin has less executive experience than my local county commission, the head of the county school board, or the county tax commissioner. Each of those executives must balance a budget from tax receipts, levy property taxes, borrow money for capital projects, and compete with other jurisdictions to hire the best talent for public schools, police, and emergency first responders.

Palin won her office in a contest very much like any other GOP election. In other words, the previous Republican "Mayor" of Alaska did a horrible job. So horrible that no one wanted him back for another term, while the Justice Department wanted him on corruption charges. No "respectable" Republican, if there are such things in Alaska, could vote for the man. So the voters picked "None of the Above."

Palin, the GOP's second choice for President of the United States, hasn't read the 28 page indictment of her political mentor, Senator Ted Stevens. Stevens has been charged with violating the Ethics in Government Act, a felony.

Palin is the typical GOP expert on ethics, having served as the Ethics Supervisor of the Alaska Oil and Gas Commission while also being the Chair of the Alaska Oil and Gas Commission. A wonderful conflict of interest, supervising herself on ethics.

She has also been accused of wrongfully firing the Alaska Public Safety Commissioner in July of 2008. The Commissioner refused to fire Palin's ex-brother in law, a state trooper. Palin's two dozen verified contacts with the Commissioner requesting the termination remain under another "ethics investigation." Since the State of Alaska has solicited Palin's personal attorney to handle the investigation, we can expect a white washing of the allegations. Very well done, young lady.

And, very well done and a pat on the ass for the Good Ol' Boys of the GOP.

And, if I ever meet our Second Choice for President aka Ms. Palin, I'll be asking a few questions.

What's it like being second choice behind John McCain?

Is it a lot like being Brittany Spears sister?

Or, is it like being Paris Hilton's side kick, Nicole Richie, in "The Simple Life?"

Will you continue the Bush traditions of corruption as you have in Alaska? Or, will you be more like Dick Cheney who held secret meetings to settle policy agreements with corporate executives and then claimed executive privileges to keep the details secret?

Palin, the best Second Choice for President ever by the Republican Party.

God help the country if that is a serious choice.
