Campbell Soup! A safe stock for your money during the crisis

I fell out of my chair when I read this gem.

When the stock market was falling 777 points, the House was rejecting the President, the Treasury, and the Fed, Campbell Soup was ... umm ummm good stock to own!

The soup stock constitutes part of the S & P 500. 499 of the 500 fell in price on Monday by about $80 dollars. Soup was up about 8 cents.

Details on the soup line on Wall Street, currently a short one.

Mills won't debate Strickland in the 25th House Race

I spoke with Chris Strickland last night on the phone. He confirms that incumbent James Mills has refused to have a public debate on the critical problems facing our citizens.

More than ever, we need politicians and candidates to stand up for something. I'm all for an open debate at a neutral location by a professional or at least neutral host.

If James Mills won't debate, I say we stage one for Strickland versus an empty suit laid across an empty chair.

Tell us what you stand for, Representative Mills. Or quit.

John McCain, POW

There were 600 POWs and they earned decorations totaled to the following: Medals of Honor - 8, Service Crosses - 42, Silver Stars - 590, Bronze Stars - 958 and Purple Hearts - 1,249.

John McCain got one Silver Star and one Purple Heart. One each, not each one ever given.

When he begins to honor the other 599 POWs, then I'll honor him.

Here's a link to what a Senior POW had to say about John's media memories from POW camp.

John McCain, POW

Just remember, it's an opinion from someone who spent more time in those POW camps than McCain.

Vote James Mills !!!!

Vote James Mills

Somebody gave me a heads up on this. Check it out and give me the skinny on it.

Nathan Deal, "He's no Nancy Pelosi!"

I'm not up to date on all the political strategies for winning a public office. John Kerry had a classic stance in 2004. He simply ran under the banner, "I'm not George W. Bush."

He lost. I guess. But, we're all sure Kerry isn't Bush.

But, Kerry was at least running against Bush.

Nathan Deal isn't George W. Bush, either. But, Deal doesn't mention Bush much, if any at all in his current campaign. His campaign slogan seems to be, "I'm not Nancy Pelosi!"

I've attended more than my share of Nathan Deal 'town hall' infommercials. In his repetitive presentation, I heard him say, I'm not Nancy Pelosi in several different ways. The Times printed a Nathan Deal quote from the WDUN/Brenau forum. It was another version of "I'm not Nancy Pelosi!"

Should someone tell Nathan he's not running against Nancy? Or, should we let him become the next John Kerry?

Let's just say, "There goes Nathan Deal. He's no Nancy Pelosi!"
