Oddly enough for a Bible Belt State, the Board granted 666 gun packing pardons last year. Wow! Exactly the Number of the Beast.
The Board in its unique wisdom found mercy for 358 felons who were convicted of violent crimes, 166 who were convicted of drug crimes and 32 who killed another person.
But, I guess even killers deserve a second chance and at least one former board member agrees with that.
I'd call and ask the current Board about their gun waving pardons if they would take any phone calls on the subject.

Board spokesman, Steve Hayes, said the board's turnover rate could explain an overall increase in gun pardons. In 2012 the number of violent felons who had their gun rights reinstated was 71. The number increased to 208 in 2013.
In one year, new board members gave felons gun at a rate 300% higher than older board members? Should we believe this load of shit from Steve Hayes? No. New board members can't over ride decisions by the general Board.
Or can they, with one wave, give a murderer the right to pack heat? If they can, we need to ask Nathan Deal what kind of nuts did he just appoint to the Board.
