Monday of this week, unprepared consumers scrambled to find toilet paper. The well informed and politically savvy buyers had emptied the shelves at all the Big Box stores.
Aldi have one skid left. It was pointless to stock it on the shelf. The pallet sat in the middle of the aisle while the employees loitered nearby.
An elderly couple packed their cart with several rolls. Boy, could that old lady use a hat pin. If she had been wearing combat boots, no one would have been surprised.
It wasn't the cold temperatures. It seems both Gubernator Nathan Deal and his esteemed floor leader, Senator Butch "You Got That Right" Miller were in town.
Both were spotted at Riverside Pharmacy's 60th Anniversary Celebration.
Citizens should be very proud of Riverside Pharmacy. Surviving as a business for 60 years is very impressive. If they survive another 60 years, I don't think the stink from the Gubernator and Senator Miller will go away.
For the next two weeks, I must advise drivers to be very wary. Those without TP have been known to use pine needles to maintain that clean, pine scented smell. And, remind themselves to read local political news.
Next time it could be the whole Legislative Delegation and the 2nd Lt. Guber, Casey Cagle.
