Concealed Permit holder kills two cops

On March 13, 2011, Randy Gilbert Newberry, 52, opened fire on Virginia sheriff’s deputies killing two and critically wounding two others. Newberry used a high-powered rifle in the sniper attack, firing approximately 50 rounds in the assault. He was killed by police when he pointed a handgun at responding officers. Newberry’s neighbors were stunned by the lethal outburst by someone with no criminal history. He had renewed his concealed handgun permit three times since 1999, most recently in 2009.

Newberry was an avid hunter who liked guns according to neighbors.

In 2009, Humberto Delgado Jr., 34, shot and killed 11-year Tampa police veteran Corporal Mike Roberts after the officer responded to a suspicious person call. Delgado was pushing a shopping cart which turned out to be filled with military gear, a Kel-Tec assault rifle, a Taurus .45 pistol, and a .22 revolver. He also had a Glock17 pistol in a backpack. When Corporal Roberts tried to question Delgado, a struggle ensued and Roberts was shot while on his back. Although Corporal Roberts was wearing body armor, a bullet struck him in an unprotected area and entered his chest. Delgado had been a law enforcement officer in the Virgin Islands for four years until 2000 and had served in the U.S. Army. He had a concealed handgun permit issued in North Carolina. Florida has reciprocity with North Carolina. A search of Delgado’s storage unit uncovered another firearm, a laser sight, a copy of Shooter’s Bible, and a certificate for completion of a firearms safety course. Delgado faced charges of premeditated murder and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.

On November 15, 2011, Delgado was found guilty of first-degree murder in the death of Corporal Mike Roberts. He was sentenced to death on February 11, 2012.

Ft. Hood shooting victims caused their own deaths per GOP and Tea Party

I'm already doomed to eternity in Hell. So what is going to stop me from speaking my mind? Not carrying a gun.

It's the logic of the GOP and Tea Party today.

"The Ft. Hood victims killed themselves by not supporting the Constitution. They didn't insist on their right to carry a concealed weapon on a US military base and they got exactly what they deserved. Don't feel sorry for them. They had to know that the Founders knew we would all need guns in our homes, cars, and workplaces.

So if you don't carry, you deserve to die! No one has a right to expect others to take care of them. Good riddance!

That what I hear being said all over the news.

If those dead and wounded people had had a gun, they wouldn't be dead or wounded now. It's their fault.

A Conceal Carry Permit is not a a license to kill. Dah!

Lots of murders start with an argument. Suddenly, one guy says, You don't have the nerve to shoot me. Then, it's bang. Bang. Bang, bang, bang, a dozen times and then two more in the back.

Then, call 911 and tell the cops, Hey! I'm got a dead guy on my lawn. Come get the body.

Carreiro's last words were a taunt. Smith "wouldn't use the gun," Smith recalled Carreiro saying.

Smith fired rapidly from around 20 feet away. One, two, three, four … 12 shots, until Carreiro was still, facedown on the ground with his arms tucked underneath him, the report said.

Smith walked closer to Carreiro and paused for a moment. Then, he fired two more shots into Carreiro's back, the report said.

Carreiro was lying on Northwest 69th Drive near 14 shell casings. Emergency responders tried to save Carreiro, but he died 17 minutes after the shooting at 4:51 p.m., the report said.

Smith was booked into the Alachua County jail at 12:23 a.m. Tuesday on homicide charges and remains there in lieu of $1 million bond.

So 14 shots into your neighbor including 2 in the back after he was face down on the ground.

People with a conceal carry permit are more likely to murder or attempt murder than a non-gun owner.

Stand back! I heard this on the Moon Bat station of my Obama issued, free talk radio.

"Yeah, seven million signed up but it's all the same person, Michelle."

"No. It really was just one person but it took them seven million times."

"No. We don't know if it was seven million people who got insurance. It could be seven million people with full shopping carts."

"No! I have the truth. It was seven million people who visited the site, created an account, filled the shopping cart but they couldn't pay at check out."

Oh the shame of it all.

It's sort of like saying, "Yeah, there are 50 million Americans over age 65 who were lifted out of poverty by the Social Security program. But, none of them work! They're ... dead beats drawing a government check. They have no incentive to greet people at Wal-Mart! They are not willing to SuperSize that McDonald's Meal on Wheels. What good is a government program if it doesn't put people to work!?"
