At last, the Holy Call has gone out and the final solution to our rampaging gun problem has been solved. It is time for the right thinking protectors of our Holy Civil Scripture to hunt down the dark hearts and kill them before they kill us.

I launch my unholy outrage at the letter of Michael Hawkins who used phrases like, scripture "that we wrote for ourselves for civil use," and 'our sacred civil scripture' in his letter.

So we have the proper Christian approach to gun violence.

Hunt down and kill those among us who are deranged or who plot to harm us.

Kill them all and Let God sort them out.

Some gun lovers would kill over the dinner table then finish dinner

A gun nut threw this in my direction recently. I was at work and couldn't really give him what he deserved.

'When I take my family out to eat at Chili's, I sit facing the door. If someone comes in with an AK47, they might get off a couple shots. But, I'm going to pop him in the chest twice then twice more in the head. Then, sit down and finish my dinner.'

If not born a killer, he's trained to be one.

I would not give a gun to any man who could kill another man then sit down and eat the remains of dinner.

Would you? Hell, no.

He should immediately think of his children, then his wife, then the wounded as our gun nut has conceded a couple shots to the 'active shooter.' Continuing dinner isn't a heroic action. Shooting a killer might be heroic. Heroic, in this gun nut's wet dream, would be to see to others when the shooting stopped, starting as I said with his family.

How would your children feel after 6 shots were fired, 4 of them going past their ears. What about your spouse. There's time to say, get the children under the table and stay there until I'm sure this is over. Then, make a defensive position between them the 'active shooter.'

Sit down and eat dinner? Ignore your family? Ignore the other humans?

No, this gun nut isn't qualified to be human or hold a gun in a public place.

Another gun kills an innocent child ... North Carolina

An eighth grade boy was shot to death in Kentucky while sleeping in a Comfort Inn hotel room. The bullet struck him in the head but death was not instantaneous. His family tried to revive him and a panic laced called to 911 brought EMTs. But, the young man died.

Who shot him? A felon with a gun staying in another room. 'Ops! My gun decided to shoot a bullet through a wall when I wasn't looking.' The shooter wasn't in the adjacent room. We don't know what kind of a gun killed the young man. Police aren't saying.

I'm saying our gun loving society looks upon such a death as acceptable. The whole 'it's better that we have guns to protect us from the government. Much better. Much, much better.'

It's better we don't leave guns laying around in hotel rooms loaded.

A guy named Zimmerman walks up to a bunch of kids at a bus stop.

Hey! You wanna see the bullets in my gun? No? Then shut the frack up. You think I'm joking. This bullets got your name on it.

Yeah, I make up the dialogue but it's pretty close to what he said.

So it's early in the morning, Zimmerman wearing his conceal carry weapon walks out to the bus stop. Why? To make the kids be quiet. And, the idiot took his conceal carry with him and didn't keep it concealed.

Couldn't make it up. I just want to thank Goobernator Nathan Deal for his guns at the bus stop law.

Gun justice in Georgia

Is there a double standard for gun deaths in Georgia?

Consider the 3 year old child who allegedly shot himself in the face. Mom's in jail without bail.

Isn't there something wrong about that?

In another state, a five year old boy shoots his 2 year old sister to death.

No one in jail. No charges. Just an accident.

How about the father who shoot his 15 year old son to death while rafting?

No one in jail. Just an accident.

In one weekend, there were two tragic deaths by gun.

In one case, no charges. The other case, boom. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200 dollars.

Think about it. It does no good to keep a mother away from a hospitalized child. Want to charge her? Fine. Set bail.

"Guns don't kill people. God kills people.

Five year old boy gets a rifle for his birthday. Mom goes outside leaving him to guard his two year old sister. Boy wants to try out his rifle. Shoots baby sister to death.

Grandma says, "It was just her time to go."

Minister says it was "God's will."

Father says it will never happen again.

Cops call it an accident.

Little boy quoted as saying, "Whoa! I like my new gun!"

Some gun owners were having a little fun at a gun show with their cannon, a US military 105 howitzer. For the novice gun nut, that's a cannon used in wars like ... Iraq, Afghanistan, WWII ....

So the gun nuts loaded their cannon using all the right safety precautions. They carefully aimed it using the proper Kentucky windage adjustments, and fired.

They missed the broadside of the barn. The field it sat in. The farm. All the little animals.

But, they nailed a house over 3 miles away. Epic miss.

What did the gun show people say? The followed all the safety rules. We've never seen a cannon shell go up in the air like that. It was Obama's fault. It's perfect for home defense. Gun owners have rights.

Father shoots and kills his family ... on Father's Day

How do I start this post? A man shoots his family to death Does so on Father's Cay. No previous signs of distress. Called his own father to wish him a Happy Father's Day.

Then, he shoots his 30 year old wife, a 9 year old daughter, and a 2 year old son.

Let the NRA choke on it's, Well, he would have used a knife if he didn't have a gun.

How about a reality check? Maybe he would not have killed anyone if he didn't have a gun!

NRA and gun lovers, Just pull your heads out of your assholes.

It requires nothing to pull a trigger 4 times. It doesn't take courage. It isn't intimate or personal.

It's cold, impartial, and inhuman. But quick and easy for a coward or a soldier.

If the man only had a knife, would he have chopped a 2 year old son to death? I bloody well don't think so.

The gun killed that child. No gun, then at least two children survive.

Stop the killing now. When there are no gun, there will be no gun crime.

Got this today from Atlanta Police Department Zone 2:
This afternoon, a woman was was walking towards the exit of the Howell Mill Rd Walmart Shopping Center parking deck when a burgundy 2001 Jeep Wrangler with a tan colored cloth cover (SC Tag CCG674) pulled up to her. Suspect #1, a black male carrying a semi-automatic firearm and wearing a ski mask, hopped out of the passenger seat. The suspect demanded the victim’s purse and Suspect #2, inside the vehicle, told Suspect #1 to get the victim’s ring. The victim gave Suspect #1 her rings and purse containing a Smith and Wesson 380 semi-automatic pistol, an I-Pad, a wallet with $50. cash, numerous bank cards and other miscellaneous items.
Here is my take on this: One of the primary tenants of those that the anti-gun people like to call "gun extremists" is that the way to combat bad guys with guns is for good guys to have guns. I think a little actual training in how to deal with bad guys with guns would be helpful. Otherwise, a gun in one's purse is just a hunk of useless steel, and there is then no point in carrying one. You have to be willing to use it.

Here's some tips:

Carry a debit card only. No reason to carry your social security card, credit cards, passwords .... etc.
If you carry a gun, hold it cocked, locked and ready to rock. No one will fuck with you then.
If you're going to a bad part of town, don't make yourself a target by wearing your entire set of jewelry.

In my humble opinion, when crime isn't easy and no longer pays well, we will have less crime.

Plus, thanks to who ever recorded the license plate and description of the vehiclie.

Giving new meaning to DUI. Drunk open carries rifle with no sling.

People just should not get alarmed to see guns being carried down the street. Inside a coin laundry. In the parking lot of an auto parts store.

Guns don't kill, riiiiight? And everyone has a right to carry a rifle on the mean streets.

And, aren't there laws which forbid a police officer from questioning people? Especially those who have committed no crime.

So are we going to stop and chat up every dude with a gun?

Good man with gun kills neighbor for feeding deer.

A few good men can make a difference. Not this one who never had a criminal record before murdering his neighbor.

Glad he didn't live next door to me!

Gets worse. The murderer climbed out of a basement window with his buckshot loaded 12 gauge. His wife was screaming for blood, "Shoot! Shoot! Shoot again!" according to witnesses.

The murderers son had made the usual threats as well. Something along the lines of I'm going to burn down your house with you in it after I break your arms and legs so you can't even crawl out. Pretty much the usual Double Dog Dare you not to move out of the country.

Police shoot 93 year old woman to death. Don't know why. Won't talk about it.

Authorities in Hearne, Texas are refusing to say if a 93-year-old woman was armed when a police officer shot her at least five times on Tuesday.

According to KBTX, Pearlie Golden was at her home on Karney Street when she was shot by the Hearne police officer. Golden, who was known as Ms. Sully by her friends, was later pronounced dead after being transported to St. Joseph Hospital.

“Hearne police are not ready to say whether Golden was armed or why the officer felt threatened,” KBTX reported.

Guns on campus, Arkansas style. It's illegal there.

So we have the police checking out a college students who is asleep in his car. Well, he's sleeping off some binge drinking.

The car gets searched. Is there probable cause just because he's drunk? Yeah. We don't know if he's just drunk. Maybe he has a dead body in the trunk. Maybe more than booze. Doesn't really matter. He's on a college campus pass out in a car. No reasonable expectations of privacy.

What do we find? He's a concealed carry permit holder and has two guns with him.

Ops! No guns on campus. Against the law. Sort of like drinking and driving. Or, drinking yourself into a stupor in a public place.

So, back to that wonderful statement about how responsible gun owners have never been caught breaking the law.

Friday afternoon. You're a responsible gun owner. Saturday morning just another drunk with junk in the trunk.

So that thing again about how guns don't kill. People kill. Well, some dude with a laser sight just shot kid to death. Red dot on the forehead. Pause. Bang. And, oh no, officer. I never keep my guns loaded.

An 11-year old boy, looking at guns with his cousin and uncle, was shot and killed in Pike County Saturday afternoon. His uncle has been charged with criminal homicide.

The name of the child has not been released but police say he lived in Wayne County and attended the Wallenpaupack Area School District.

Police notified the school of the death and the school will have grief counselors available this week.

State Police were called at 5:35 p.m. Saturday to Keystone Drive in Wild Acres, a gated community in Delaware Township.

The home is owned by William Olm, the victim’s grandfather. The child was visiting the home where his uncle, Chad Olm, lives in a room in the basement next to the laundry room.

Hey, some day I want to live in my dad's basement next to the laundry room. Kids will think I'm so cool if I have a gun safe and no safe guns.

"In his April 3 letter, Michael W. Parker used some questionable data to try to prove his point. He would do well to read John Lott’s third edition of “More Guns, Less Crime,” especially chapter 10."

Very much like the supporters of something that was called, The Fair Tax. Past tense. The GOP no longer supports the Fair Tax. But, when anyone questioned the legislation, supporters waved off the questions with ... "Read the book! It's all explained in there." Wow! Read my blog. It's all explained in there. Sorry. I'm over being childish. For now.

"As I recall, Lott originally began researching crime data with the assumption that more guns would equal more crime. The data, however, proved just the opposite and he was more interested in the truth than his original agenda. Some 'researchers,' however, have an agenda and are willing to manipulate the data to fit their agenda."

Only Lott knows why he applied for free money to research guns. But, I'm sure a lot of economists were writing papers on guns in 1998 using free money. And, I'm sure a lot of researchers in 1997 lost their raw data in a hard drive crash. Can you say back up? Assuming the crash happened, which it did, how did that go over with the people handing out the free money? Hmmm. Didn't tell anyone in 1997 about that lost data. Just went ahead and published. Strong work.

I can imagine Lott explaining the truth, the truth being so dear to him. "Oh, by the way, I don't have any supporting raw data for my finished work. Can I have my final check now? The bank closes at 4 and I don't want to be late."

"He [Parker} stated that a 2002 study by the Violence Policy Center discovered that 41 concealed carry permit holders over a five-year period were “arrested” for murder; not convicted or even officially charged, but “arrested.” It is likely standard procedure for the police to arrest anyone who is involved in a shooting until they can sort things out."

Nice guess on how police operate in Texas. I would really like police to handle every person suspected of a crime in the same way. Maybe Texas has a shoot first and arrest later policy. Maybe.

"This is about as good a demonstration of massaging the data as it gets."

No way! This sentence screams irony. To rebut the data from 1997 to 2002, five years, Lott's devoted follower quotes a study from 2002 to 2006. Four years.

"In actuality, from 2002 to 2006, the number of Texas permit holders who were convicted of a misdemeanor or a felony was 0.04 percent. This is about one-eighth the conviction rate of the general adult population."

The general adult population. Not white males living in low crime areas who feel a need to carry a gun ... compared to a similar group ... say white males living in low crime areas who do not feel a need to carry a gun. That would be too uncomfortable.

"He [Parker} chose to compare Chicago with Atlanta on homicide rates. For 2012, Chicago had a rate of 18.5 and Atlanta 19. If the number of guns were the problem, why are they virtually equal? Since 2000, Chicago’s homicide rate is down by 15 percent and Atlanta’s by 40 percent. It would appear that Atlanta is doing something right."

I haven't looked up the stats on Atlanta from 2000. I do know someone is avoiding the other crimes related to guns. If we're going to compare stats, let's get them all out there. No 'massaging the data.' But here is where I think we get down to it!

"I would challenge Mr. Parker to go to the nearest prison and interview convicted felons asking what they think of gun control and concealed carry. This has been done before and the answers were unanimous. Gun control is highly favored among criminals as it is like health insurance for them. They have the guns and their victims do not.
Concealed carry, on the other hand, is the one thing that they fear most. Even the dumbest of criminals can figure out that attacking someone who is carrying a gun can be hazardous to their health. And since the weapons are concealed, they can’t tell who might be carrying one."

Nope. I'm not going to a prison to take a survey of violent and antisocial felons. Nope. Not going to do that. Or listen to their opinions. Especially if the goal is to find the dumbest of criminals.

Gun nuts. Who can live with them?

Guns don't kill babies. Four year old kids kill babies.

Guns don't kill. People kill. In this case, a four year old killed a one year old.

Residents in this Wichita neighborhood are still trying to understand what happened.

"Cause that was a tragedy," said Jackson, holding her one-year-old grandson. "My heart is broken."

"I was just taken away," said Ray about her reaction to the news. "I don't have the words to really say, describe how I felt and what all I felt."

A one-year-old boy who lived down the street from them is suddenly gone, shot to death by his four year old brother. Police say the two boys were playing with their sister in the bedroom.

"It appears that the four-year-old child opened a night stand drawer," said Lt. Todd Ojile, Wichita Police, during a briefing Wednesday. "In that nightstand drawer was a loaded handgun. The gun was still in the drawer when it was fired," said Ojile.

New York police arrest a Georgia family for selling 155 guns to one undercover cop.

There is a hero in Kennesaw, a 28 year old unarmed security guard, still in critical condition, tried to stop the Kennesaw shooter. He's in a medically induced coma fighting to recover.

Unarmed teachers at the White County high school took two hours to talk the young girl into handing over the gun while SWAT picked their teeth in the parking lot.

And in New York where the Georgia gun runners were arrested? Most of the guns in New York are from the wonderful Southern States with guns anywhere, anytime laws.

"I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for any changes in the laws in those states," Bratton said Wednesday. "That is what it is and we deal with the impact of it."

Let's make it clear to my dear Governor. You and the Georgia GOP are the Godfathers of murderer. You enable the gun deaths on the mean streets. You kill cops. You orphan children and you kill children.

More gun nuts

The pro-gun side of the gun debate uses many non-sense arguments. If we apply common sense to their arguments and positions, we are left with an impartial look at gun violence as a cause of death.
Recently, a letter in the Times suggested that Atlanta was too small to be made safe by either more guns or less guns. I think the proper quotation was, “Maybe Atlanta is just an unsafe city” compared to Chicago and some Texas city.
That negates the theories proposing that more guns mean less crime. Common sense tells us that we can’t have it both ways on an issue. It’s like that old saw, You can’t have your cake and eat it, too.
If more guns mean less crime, then there can be no unsafe cities beyond all hope.
If there are places where more guns will not reduce crime, then something besides guns determine personal safety.
How about the argument of guns are just objects?
That’s where a gun is compared to an inanimate object like a car, a rock, or a knife. Further, it’s how people use the object which determines good or evil. The classic, “Guns don’t kill people. People kill people.”
Oddly enough, we don’t spread butter with a gun, drive it to work, or find it laying around in nature. Gun are a human invention. Man invented the gun in a willful act of creation. Its invention had only one purpose. Killing other humans.
The existence of guns comes from one intention and one goal. To kill other people and give one person the power to kill many other people.
Those who are adamantly pro-gun and willing to go against common sense will never be convinced of their errors. No matter how many innocent people are killed.

Two more Georgia children killed in shooting accidents

Children die. Too often and too soon. Disease takes their lives. Birth defects still their hearts. All parents and potential parents face a risk of losing a child.

But shot to death by a brother or a sister in their own home?

Two accidental shootings in Georgia this weekend killed two kids.

Each with a different story. "My little sister wanted me to hold her 12 gauge shotgun. It went off while I was unloading it." If that is what happened, oh, the hole left in the parents hearts.

The second 'accidental shooting' resulted in an arrest. Different city in Georgia. Different situation. Different color skin?

Meanwhile, police in Savannah are investigating the death of an 11-year-old boy who was killed by a gunshot while he and a friend handled the weapon in west Savannah.

Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police say a 12-year-old, who they described as a playmate, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, reckless conduct and possession of a firearm by a person under 18.

So one 12 year old from west Savannah is facing charges of involuntary manslaughter, reckless conduct, and possession of a firearm by a person under 18. He's black.

The other family was white.

Guns do not provide justice. It seems like Georgia doesn't care about providing justice either.

Concealed Permit holder kills two cops

On March 13, 2011, Randy Gilbert Newberry, 52, opened fire on Virginia sheriff’s deputies killing two and critically wounding two others. Newberry used a high-powered rifle in the sniper attack, firing approximately 50 rounds in the assault. He was killed by police when he pointed a handgun at responding officers. Newberry’s neighbors were stunned by the lethal outburst by someone with no criminal history. He had renewed his concealed handgun permit three times since 1999, most recently in 2009.

Newberry was an avid hunter who liked guns according to neighbors.
