Is Open Carry the new White Sheet.

I'm not a fan of Open Carry. I'm no fan of concealed carry or Stand Your Ground laws.

If someone feels the need to carry a gun for self protection, Fine. Let them and their actions stand an objective test and not be enabled by NRA like lobbyists.

So, I feel no surprise when the KKK in Virginia, home to former slave owner and Confederate General, Robert E. Lee, plans a public display of weapons in 'peaceful protests.'

The KKK and Peace Protests. I have never attended a KKK rally, complete with a Fiery Cross, White Hoods, Confederate symbols, and a Grand Dragon. Those events might have been urban legends but I don't think so. I'm sure those were held, sometimes in public places, with more than a little fiery violence. For all I know, they also rallied in public parks to stage lynching and fried chicken eating contests.

Now, I know where to go for a peaceful KKK rally and protest, if protest is the right word for intimidation.

Charlotteville, Virginia.

Here's a noble quote from one of the Knights, “It’s an open-carry state, so our members will be armed,” said James Moore, a member of the Loyal White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan."

So what purpose to this peaceful rally if not to intimidate or incite violence? Well, let's ask.

“The liberals are taking away our heritage,” Moore said. “By taking these monuments away, that’s what they’re working on. They’re trying to erase the white culture right out of the history books.”

Or, maybe I should restate the press release type of boilerplate message. "The KKK is protesting the Charlottesville City Council’s decision this year to remove a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee from a public park and rename that park."

So which should we believe? Peaceful protest or the new version of Lynching on the Square.

Tomorrow's news? Open Carry is the New White Sheet.

Senseless gun death. Girlfriend killed by graduation gift.

I hate posting this kind of stuff.

High school grad gets a gun as a reward. Wonderful award after 12 years of schooling. Nothing says, 'You're now a responsible member of a gun toting society" than a gun gift. I hope it was wrapped up in a coffin shaped box. They needed a coffin a few minutes later when 12 years of schooling proved not enough. Not enough.

Teen kills girlfriend

The story gets worse. His girlfriend, Lucina Luna, was shot in her own home. By her boyfriend. Who got a gun as a graduation gift. From her father.

Yes. 'I love you. Dad thinks you're great. Here's a gun for you. Now shoot me with it and seal our lives together. Forever.'

Your 2nd Amendment explained

In the debate about gun control, many gun enthusiasts argue that the Second Amendment to the Constitution was written, not for the purposes of hunting or even self-defense, but specifically to give people the ability to rise up against the government when they no longer support that government.

These gun enthusiasts further hold the reference to the word militia in the Second Amendment refers to the armed populace in general. As such, this militia has the right to own the type of weapons that would be required to overthrow the government if need be.

Let’s take a look at exactly what the Founding Fathers put in the Constitution and other laws about the Militia:

Article I, Section 8
of the Constitution lists among the powers of Congress: To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions; To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;

Article II, Section 2: The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States;

Amendment 2: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Amendment 5: No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger;

That is every reference to the Militia in the Constitution. The description of the Militia in Article I sounds very much like our country’s National Guard. It is supposed to be well-organized with officers and training.

Weird things I learned yesterday on Facebook and other places

O Tannenbaum isn't a Christmas song. It refers to a pagan relationship with a fir tree, a very faithful fir tree. The tune is used as the official State Song of Florida, Iowa, Maryland, and Michigan. A German version of On Top of Old Smoky.

On Facebook, I learned about how our feelings created thoughts which really pissed me off. But, I thought about it before I got angry. Then, I learned that I have no common ground with others because I'm too emotional. Now that I knew how to handle. I told the deeply conflicted self appointed second coming of Christ that if he feels like I'm pissing on him, it's because I am.

He's still overthinking that one.

I lost my cool again over the sound byte, If we ban guns, only criminals will have guns.

Who the frack are these criminals? Do they run red lights for jollies while waiting for the coming gun ban? Maybe they speed down the interstate at 73 mph in the 65 mph zones. So what are the criminals doing now? You know as well as I do.

The quote has nothing to do with existing criminals. It's a threat, a very violent threat. "IF you try to ban my guns, I'll kill your ass."

Do you really think criminals don't already have guns? Do ya think more criminals will have more guns if guns are banned? No. If guns were against the law, gun owners would break the law. So much for the good guy with a gun theme. Seems like we should read more into these sound bytes.

Is it time for a walk down Green Street with an AK47?

Ever get strange ideas? Of course you do. Bet you don't share them. Most of the time.

I drove past a McDonald's and I thought, 'We are what we eat.'

Then, my brain stretched that out to, 'We are what we eat and who we meet.'

A conjoined sentence which needs some clarity.

If the food which we eat determines how our body, like if we eat bacon we get pig fat, then does our human interactions determine our mental health in a same way.

Do you spend all day working in a retail store full of idiots speaking slang terms, asking half formed questions, and looking for custom fabrications?

Might make you rude, eh?

What if you never see a mass shooting? Never hear the dying screams of children? Never clean clotted blood with a garden hose?

Might make you indifferent to violence, eh?

So what IF ... I buy an assault rifle, a good pistol, and get a conceal carry permit? Then, show up at the Gainesville Christmas Parade openly packing iron?

I'd be just exercising my basic right to be confrontational, right? Sort of like Free Speech with a side order of terrorism?

I'm so thinking ... I love a parade.

Some gun lovers would kill over the dinner table then finish dinner

A gun nut threw this in my direction recently. I was at work and couldn't really give him what he deserved.

'When I take my family out to eat at Chili's, I sit facing the door. If someone comes in with an AK47, they might get off a couple shots. But, I'm going to pop him in the chest twice then twice more in the head. Then, sit down and finish my dinner.'

If not born a killer, he's trained to be one.

I would not give a gun to any man who could kill another man then sit down and eat the remains of dinner.

Would you? Hell, no.

He should immediately think of his children, then his wife, then the wounded as our gun nut has conceded a couple shots to the 'active shooter.' Continuing dinner isn't a heroic action. Shooting a killer might be heroic. Heroic, in this gun nut's wet dream, would be to see to others when the shooting stopped, starting as I said with his family.

How would your children feel after 6 shots were fired, 4 of them going past their ears. What about your spouse. There's time to say, get the children under the table and stay there until I'm sure this is over. Then, make a defensive position between them the 'active shooter.'

Sit down and eat dinner? Ignore your family? Ignore the other humans?

No, this gun nut isn't qualified to be human or hold a gun in a public place.

They can have my gun when I'm done stalking school children

Funny and not funny.

Just for kicks, let's assume soccer mom and Miss America were in the car line to pick up their kids.

How do they explain this gun nut to tender child A and B?

"Hey! That guy looks like a cop, Mom! Cool huh?"

No that's not cool. That's a gun nut and stay away from him.

Or,

Hey! That guy looks like cop, Mom! Cool huh?

"No, he is way better than a cop. He's a private citizen with a gun and a bullet proof vest. Remember cops are not your friend, especially the IRS, FDA, and USDA. When you see them, run towards this guy."

If you hear dogs talking to you, Son of Sam, shoot the Gorgi!

Hollywood can't make up stories to match real life. The whole art imitates life thing.

What about when life imitates life? A man hears dogs constantly barking. He just knows it is real and not just in his head.

The rational solution is to shoot the dog and not the owner. Well, it's slightly more rational that shooting the owner.

So in Son of Sam, Part Duex, a banker hears a dog saying, "Shoot the Gorgi! Shoot the Gorgi!" Gets his gun. Then, in front of neighbors, shoots the dog's rival, a Gorgi, to death.

So the barking in his head goes on for two more hours. A thank you song.

Brother practicing for cowboy movie kills sister on her birthday.

I didn't make up the story. Wish it never happened.

Yeah, the 50 year old man decided to relive his younger days of playing cowboys and Indians. In some parody of Hollywood gunslingers, the brother tried twirling his pistol with his finger. He dropped the loaded weapon. It went off. Hit his sister. Killed her in front of her kids.

Birthday parties aren't what they used to be since your Mom took away your cap pistol.

George Zimmerman, man of peace. As in, 'May all my enemies rest in peace.'

Partly from the AJC.

Some one pissed off George Zimmerman. Not much of a life accomplishment. So George followed them to work. With a machine gun, 32 grenades, and a bag of donuts. The ones with pink icing and those little sprinkles on top.

LAKE MARY, Fla. (WSVN) — Lake Mary Police have confirmed they’ve had another run-in with George Zimmerman.
According to officers, on Tuesday, a man called 911 saying George Zimmerman threatened to kill him during a road rage incident.
The following day, the same man called 911 again and said Zimmerman was waiting for him at work, and he felt worried for his safety.
Lake Mary Police said they confronted Zimmerman, and he admitted to exchanging words with the man the previous day.

Well, they don't mention the donuts. I guess cops don't like the connection some people might see.

The man says Zimmerman asked, “Do you know who I am?” and threatened to kill him.

Yes, George, we all know who you are even if you don't.

Penis shot at gas station. Exits buttocks.

In today's news, a suddenly gender confused 'man' shot his penis late one night in a gas station. Locals tell a story of a Mine is Bigger than Yours debate won by the .45 caliber bullet in head to head conflict.

It remains unreported what the man was doing in a service station while his gun and penis were fighting.

It is known that when the gun spontaneously ejected, the owner drove, not to the hospital, but to a friend's house.

The conversation went like this.

Knock. Knock. "Hey, man. Let me in. You've got see this. My penis stopped a bullet!"

His unbelieving friend simply said, "Oh, blow it out your ass!"

"Yeah," the wounded dick says, "I did that, too!"

Me? I can't imagine letting even my BFF drop his pants in my living room so I can see his bloody equipment. And and his new exit wound.

But, I don't live in Macon, Georgia.

The boring details on the real story at WMAZ.

Gun kills again. No life safe

Where are the good guns in the hands of good guys?

So here's the next story in a long line of stories about kids killing themselves with a good gun gone bad.

Link

DeKalb County detectives have charged the uncle and aunt of a 2-year-old boy who was shot to death Monday in Stone Mountain with child cruelty and reckless conduct, Capt. Steve Fore said.
“They say they found the child shot,” Fore told The Atlanta Journal Constitution. “The child may have shot himself.”

Another post on guns that have never saved a life

How many kids were accidently shot with the family gun in one month.

Eleven.

NRA News shamelessly promotes viewer-submitted pictures of children with firearms, some engaged in unsafe gun practices

Meanwhile, these accidental shootings by children in the U.S. happened within just one month:

August 2nd - September 2nd, 2014.

A 7-year-old boy shot himself at his family’s homemade shooting range in California:

The boy was reportedly firing a single-shot, .22 bolt action youth rifle under his father’s supervision. When the boy cried out, his father noticed there was a small hole in his shirt, then blood.
A 9-year-old girl accidentally shot and killed her instructor with an Uzi in Arizona:

A 13-year-old boy was shot and killed by his 14-year-old friend while they were handling a rifle in Oklahoma:

Police say initially the other teens said the victim shot himself with the gun, but after questioning them separately, police say the 14-year-old accidentally fired the gun … Police say the rifle used was stolen from a home in Midwest City in 2011. Right now investigators don’t know how the gun ended up in the teens hands.

Another good guy with guns killed by police with good guns

Two days ago, a very peaceful man was standing on his front porch shooting at helicopters when trigger happy police shot him to death in violation of his Open Carry Rights.

Well, that's how the story would be covered in Georgia.

So a man is on his front porch with at least 4 loaded guns. So far, it's claimed the man was shooting before the police arrived. More shots were fired at police. Then, the man began shooting at a police helicopter.

Meanwhile, the local cops took up positions on a roof top and shot the man to stop the rampage.

The media coverage doesn't have much information on the shooter or his guns. I'd like to know where and how he got his guns. I'm thinking Walmart or a Christmas gift from a Southern cousin.

I'm thinking he was a law abiding citizen before going nuts.

I'm certain that none of his guns ever saved a life. Anyone wanna second guess me?

A police spokesman on Wednesday said 55-year-old Richard Ray Aceves was killed when officers returned fire while he stood on his front porch with several loaded weapons

Georgia law allows gun sales in vending machines.

The new vending machines were opened today with a public ceremony featuring Governor Nathan Deal, Judge Judy, and three other idiots.

Link

“Millions of people in Georgia lack access to quality firearms,” the governor said in a signing statement. “This bill will finally bring handguns from top manufacturers into every neighborhood and hopefully every household.

“By helping more Georgians to defend themselves, we expect this bill to lower crime significantly. By the end of my second term murder, rape and armed robbery should be nearly eradicated.”

I only wish I had made this up.

This just in from Dallas, Texas ... Rick Perry shot attempting to surrender to police

This news is a true spoof. No facts have been harmed in the making of these lies.

This just in from Dallas, Texas. Rick Perry has died after being shot 6 times by Dallas police. Rerry was indicted by a Grand ol' Jury for, being a typical Republican Governor. Having admitted to staging two invasions of Cuba, dealing drugs for guns with terrorists, and hating Federal period furniture, Perry called 911 from inside an inconvenience store near Nealey Plaza. His call immediately went to the Comcast Service Center in Dubya de Lubdick, Texas.

While on hold, Perry purchased 75 cartons of Swisher Sweets. Official spokesmodels for the late Presidential Light candidate denied the purchase saying Perry never smoked anything with a nick name like cigarillo since that one time in Havana.

Witnesses described the shooting as horrible. Something they will never be able to 'un-see.'

"That Presidential Light guy was just walking down the middle of public opinion with his head up his ass when the Truth Police told him to just fracken stop. Well, the police should have known the dude had too much shit in his ears to hear nothing.

"The dude just keeps going and the police started shooting. I mean the man had his head up his ass! Just shot him like that. Cold." said Noe Onever.

Initial coroner reports say the Presidential Light candidate was struck by six bullets with the entry and exit wounds confirming "the man had his head up his ass" when the shots were fired. Four bullets struck him in the ass. Two bullets passed through his head. The Governor would have survived the head wounds but his little ass bled to death.

Said Noe Onever, "They didn't even try to save him. No ambulance. No EMTs. Didn't even cover up the body. Just left it there like a message or something."

The last official statement from the capital mentioned the rich heritage of head wounds and politicians. "Every great politician has a head wound. Lincoln had one. Kennedy had one. Now we can a Great Texas Republican name to the list. One of the first great un-elected Presidents never. Rick "Double Tap to the Dead" Perry. No man ever had his head further up his ass."

Such ends the story just in from Dallas, Texas. This had not been the news.

Mass shooting in Seattle, 3 Dead

I hate writing these headlines and stories.

A good guy with a gun killed his dad, shot up a campground, killed one camper. Then, killed himself.

Remind me again how he would have used a knife or a baseball bat if he didn't have a gun.

Tell me about how guns stop crime.

Tell me about how safe you feel walking down the street with a six gun on your hip.

Our children shot snd killed 13 times more often than our Afghanistan war troops

For every member of our armed forces who died in Afghanistan during the 11 years of that war, 13 of our children were shot to death in the USA.

We should be ashamed.

Seven, count them, seven children will be shot to death today. Why? So some numb nuts can carry his AR15 in Walmart. So some biker can sit in a bar with gun. So your priest can wear a gun during Mass.

Guns anywhere.

A News21 investigation of child and youth deaths in America between 2002 and 2012 found that at least 28,000 children and teens 19-years-old and younger were killed with guns. Teenagers between the ages of 15 and 19 made up over two-thirds of all youth gun deaths in America.

Vote pro-gun Republican today and you kill seven kids tomorrow. Tell me that guns reduce crime. Tell me how safe you feel with a six gun on your hip in Sunday school. Tell me that you're upset because a journalist got beheaded in the Middle East.

When it is your child, grandchild, or a neighbors child dying from a gunshot wound, tell me it is just the price of freedom.

Right ...

Grandmother fires a shot in the dark, hits seven year old grandson

Link

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Sheriff's deputies in Florida say a 7-year-old boy is in critical condition after his grandmother mistook him for an intruder and shot him.

The shooting happened around 1 a.m. Tuesday in Tampa.
