Republican Party's racist Southern Strategy

Here are some quotes:

From now on, the Republicans are never going to get more than 10 to 20 percent of the Negro vote and they don't need any more than that...but Republicans would be shortsighted if they weakened enforcement of the Voting Rights Act. The more Negroes who register as Democrats in the South, the sooner the Negrophobe whites will quit the Democrats and become Republicans. That's where the votes are. Without that prodding from the blacks, the whites will backslide into their old comfortable arrangement with the local Democrats.

But, what of the Democratic Party?It will retreat to the Northeast corner, where there is a high percentage of liberal Jews, Yankees, Negroes and ... masses of subsidized radicals ...

Perhaps the oddest of the quotes will not be understood ...

;Future Republican voters will be] against aid to blacks, against aid to big cities, and against the liberal life style it sees typified by purple glasses, beards, long hair, bralessness, pornography, coddling of criminals, and moral permissiveness run riot.

Those are quotes from only one person, perhaps the most powerful voice in forming the Southern Strategy, Kevin Phillips.

The letter from Rick Frommer

In a recent letter to the editor, the writer alleges a 1960's conspiracy to stop profitable recycling of nuclear waste. According to the authror, the massive conspiracy stopped civil rights legislation, defeated General Westmoreland in an election, and preserved corruption in the Democratic Party.

I remember the Sixties. So do many other people. It would do well to remember the facts in that decade.

Young President John F. Kennedy proposed civil rights legislation in 1963. The 1964 Civil Rights Act came to a Congressional vote and was signed by President Lyndon Johnson on July 2, 1964, just months after Kennedy's assassination in Dallas, Texas. Among the nay votes were Democrats and Republicans with every Southern Republican voting against the new law. Southern Republican refers to the Congressman from the 11 states which constituted the Confederate slave states a hundred years earlier. In the Senate, 69% of Democrats voted for the bill.

Johnson would sign the 1968 Civil Right Act before leaving the White House. Hardly a Democratic conspiracy to stop civil rights legislation.

General Westmoreland didn't retire from the military until 1972. His military service and career were stained by US involvement in Vietnam and his several decisions to suppress military reports. Suppressing information hit a low point in 1968 when the Calley massacre cover-up lasted 13 months. Westmoreland left Vietnam after the horrific losses of the 1968 Tet Offensive. His unsuccessful political campaign was in 1974 not in the Sixties.

No President has been as corrupt as Republican President Richard Nixon who was elected in 1968. Nixon used what is know as the Southern strategy in national politics. The strategy was to appeal to the white Southern racist called "Negrophobe whites" by Nixon's people.

As to profitable recycling of radioactive waste in the 1960's? Not possible. Not possible today. Although Governor Deal and others like the Heritage Foundation have made false reports of successful efforts in the UK and France. The UK and France are actively seeking underground disposal options and not any mythical recycling program.

The UK offers 'bribes' to communities to consider storage of its 260,000 cubic meters of radioactive waste.

France had 1.32 million cubic meters of nuclear waste in 2010, a 13% increase over 2009.

People have been trying to explain how the world works since we first walked upright. Lying about the past isn't new. Lying about nuclear waste is just tool of Republicans.

Reagan was a pussycat

I already called him a pussy but Lou Cannon called the would be gunslinging Ronald Reagan a pussy cat in a July 1985 Washington Post piece.

Hell, Reagan was such a wimp that his nickname was Jimmy Reagan as in Jimmy Carter who never killed anyone as President of the United States.

So in 1981, President Ronald Reagan promises the nation and the world "swift and effective retribution" to terrorist activities.

Bullshit!

Reagon's strongest moment on the world stage came in ... Grenada where he rescued some medical students from final exams while they were attending The True Blue Medical Facility.

What terrorist act prompted a war in which over 5,000 medals were issued for merit and valor?

Canada and the UK were building a commercial airport. Yes. In 1954, the Brits had recommended replacing the existing airport with a modern facility to attract more tourists to the little island. Yeah. The British were coming. One if by land. Two if by sea. Paul Revere and all that.

A congressional hearing heard testimony that,

...based on my personal observations, discussion and analysis of the new international airport under construction in Grenada, it is my conclusion that this project is specifically now and has always been for the purpose of economic development and is not for military use.... It is my thought that it is absurd, patronizing, and totally unwarranted for the United States government to charge that this airport poses a military threat to the United States’ national security.

Ouch!

What did the UN do? By a vote of 108-0, it commended the attack as a violation of international law. See General Assembly Resolution 38/7, which "deeply deplores the armed intervention in Grenada, which constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and of the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of that State."

What did Britain do? Britain already thought Reagan was an idiot. In a written communication still partly classified, Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher threatened to deny the US access to cruise missile bases in the UK.

Thatcher called Reagan and told him to stop the invasion. Reagan, always the American Ideal of truth and justice, lied to Thatcher. US troops were already ashore as Reagan said, "No invasion is being contemplated."

Right. I'd bet that Reagan didn't have the guts to tell the strong woman, 'You can't stop me. It's done.'

Typical of Reagan. When Navy Diver, Robert Stethem was tortured by terrorists then executed, Reagan didn't lose any sleep.

Bra shoots woman after man grabs her

There are no pictures or videos. Dang~

Seems a man and a woman were having a peaceful discussion on religion and politics at the same time. Being a woman, she was very upfront in point of view while he kept shifting positions.

Unable to see eye to eye on the church and Obama, the man did what is logical for all men, he reached out for her. Her bra that is.

Seems he thought she might have an Obama cell phone hidden in it. She did. That and a gun. That's quite a pair to pack inside a bra.

Some things got out of hand at that point and the gun went off. What could have been a very one sided disaster wound up being a flesh wound in the arm. How her arm fit into a bra loaded with a gun and a cell phone beats me. I don't make them up and I don't explain them.

The woman was able to run to the hospital. What a pair of legs. The doctors all agreed that she will recover soon. I hope so.

Asked for a comment she said, I'm going Open Carry from now on. The experience was all a big bust for me.

Number of Ebola patients double in the United States. Cases brought in by air travel.

Yup,I can do irresponsible journalism.

A few days ago, there were no reported cases of Ebola in the United States. Suddenly, we had a case in Metro Atlanta. Now, we have two. And nobody knows the name of this ebola disease.

In five days, the number of ebola cases being treated in the United States has doubled. Who is watching out for us?

I say Obama should have closed the borders with F16s if needed. Rumors in the media have these cases coming in on international air flights. OMG!

I'm not taking my shoes off for Homeland Security at the airport. Hell No! I'm wearing a level 32 Super Suit from my house to my hotel room. Hotel room you ask? There have been no documented ebola cases in the US at a hotel. It's important to know that because when the evacuations start, where are you going to go?

Hell, if you live in Atlanta, the threat of an ice storm can close down the interstates. Imagine my neighbor trying to pass me on an exit ramp during the coming Ebola Evac. That ain't going to happen.

Who doesn't have concerns about the government right now? Did you see the cover up on Bengazi?, Think about how Bush handled Iraqand you might want to start looking at alternative governments. Finding an alternative government that support your needs takes a lot of time and research. If you haven't done the work by now, listen to Rush Limbaugh. Where ever he goes, there will be drugs, guns, and freedom.

So listen up all you preppers. Dig up those caches of guns. Filter the water in your toilet. Get out your yellow radiation suit. Use your pyridostigmine bromide if you don't have your order of Ebola vaccine from your underground supply chain.

This ebola stuff is being spread by air.

For the non-prepper, begin harassing phone calls to the CDC. "Call them, write them, heckle them in the streets if you have to, but don’t allow them to ignore" you.
