Reagan was full of strong words and gets credit for defeating the Soviet Union with the phrase, "Tear down this wall!"

In 1983, Russian shot down a Korean airliner, KAL-007 over international waters. Reagan was on vacation. His press secretary must have been on vacation, too.

An assistant press secretary read a short message to the country on behalf of the President which included this phrase:

As wacky as my blog gets, nothing is more wacky than a censure of McCain because he advocated a legal path to citizenship for Hispanics, who are all illegal Medicare/Welfare sucking Walking Dead Vampires killing white males at birth.

I don't mind that racist Republican portrayal so much. I just wish one of these Medicare/Welfare sucking Walking Dead Vampires had sucked the life out of Justin Bieber on the day he was born. So much for today's terroristic internet threats made in jest and to be repented in Gitmo.

Sadly, we must acknowledge the existence of Miley Cyprus and Justin Bieber because we've seen them on TV. Or Fox News as TV is known in Georgia. TV makes it real for us. Supposedly.

That's the only reason I don't believe in Medicare/Welfare sucking Walking Dead Vampire Hispanics. I've never seen them on TV. Maybe they can't be photographed either.

However, President Reagan had never seen these non-photogenic killers either.

Reagan was always "encountering over and over and over again good, hard-working, decent people — clearly recent arrivals from Mexico." So McCain channeled Reagan's famous quote, "I believe in the idea of amnesty for those who have put down roots and lived here, even though sometime back they may have entered illegally."

When he did, he betrayed the Gipper's True Conservative Legacy. If that is ever lost, even TV won't solve the resulting Red State/Tea Party crisis.

Unless Justin Bieber marries Sarah Palin in a Los Vegas ceremony officiated by Miley Cyrus and Elvis.

Obama most admired in Gallop Poll

Polls do have purpose, merits, and benefits. Sometimes it's hard to see why.

Gallop has a new poll on "Most Admired."

For 6 years in a row, Americans have identified President Barack Obama as their most admired male. Hillary Clinton has been the most admired woman for 12 years in a row.

Ronald Reagan hasn't gotten an honorable mention since 2003. Our newest Pope looks to be tied for second with former President, George W. Bush. I'd rate the Pope a lot higher than that.

The question was completely open ended. Of all the 6 billion people living today on this planet, who do you admire most? Who would be second? I'd say our President being mentioned by 16% respondents who were given a pool of 6 billion possibilities is something to think about.

Last year, he got 30%. Seems that messing up a web page really hurt.

Is that what we should be comparing with this poll? Here's another version from Gallop.

This shows a better trend.

George W. Bush was the most admired in 7 of his 8 years in office. He's the only President since Nixon who couldn't carry the title for each year in office. Carter only carried 3 of his 4 years in office but he got beat out in the 4th year by Pope John Paul II. I think the Pope should be ahead of everyone. So I'm ignoring Carter's 4th year loss.

Other than Douglas MacAuthur and Pope John Paul, only US Presidents were named as Most Admired. Hillary Clinton has been the 'Most Admired Woman' 18 times in 21 years. Mother Teresa beat her out twice.

What I got out of this poll is that Barack Obama knocked a sitting President off the top of the list. That Bush was less admired by the general public than a Democratic Candidate in 2008.

Democrats, don't write yourselves off. You're more admired than you think.

Yes, Ronald Reagan is DEAD! But, his policy towards bin Laden continues to kill Americans.

Reagan funded bin Laden in Afghanistan through the selling of drugs (Iran-contra scandal).

Reagan reestablished full diplomatic relations with Saddam Hussein, sending Donald Rumsfeld to Baghdad as a personal, Presidential envoy.

And, making the news today, Reagan's 1987 pick as United Nations delegate was charged today with ... lobbying Congress to raise money for the Taliban and al-Qaeda.

Once a friend of bin Laden, always a friend of bin Laden.
