Cheney missed

Five years after we invaded Afghanistan, the Vice President of the United States spent a little time in a Afghan bomb shelter. Maybe Cheney spends enough time in underground bunkers in Washington.

A suicide bomber killed at least 20 human beings outside the complex fortress where Cheney slept for a night. To get in the front gate, a bomber would have to pass through three security check points. Once inside the fortress, the bomber has to pass through more security check points for each additional section or department within the fort. I wonder if the fort is in the middle of a desert like in Beau Geste?

This 'fort' is a lot like the Green Zone in Iraq. It's where our troops and civilian contractors stay. Ironic, the only safe place for the "Liberator of Iraq" is in a bunker inside a fortress in Afghanistan.
