The New York Times reports Harriet Miers had H.E. Cummins III fired as a United States attorney without cause or explanation. Ms. Miers already had an infamous place in legal history as the worst political nominee for Supreme Court by the worst President. Bush nominated Miers but Miers' nomination failed very quickly.
